Acupuncture has amazing health benefits for your pet. If your pet is experiencing minor pain or discomfort, loss of energy or noticeably becoming withdrawn, I highly recommend giving it a try. I’ve seen how it has transformed the lives of many pets. One specific dog, Fleur, a 6-year old Cairn Terrier, was limping due to hip dysplasia. She was not able to go to the bathroom without assistance, she couldn’t sit and needed help getting to her food. Fleur’s owners, Andrea and Martin Stephens shared with me this wonderful testimony:
We can’t believe the difference it has made. Gradually, Fleur started building up to little walks and the pain relief was reduced. When Julie felt Fleur was stronger and the muscles were working again, we then introduced hydrotherapy as well. We now have a lively 8 year old Cairn, who enjoys life, loves everyone she meets, playing with her toys, barking, running after a ball or a squirrel and walks everyday of about 30-50 minutes. She now has a top up acupuncture session about every 6 weeks.
The difference that acupuncture has made has been incredible and we would recommend it for any dog who has joint problems. We know it doesn’t work for all dogs, but for Fleur, it has given her quality of life back again. Amazing!
