How Blue Run Veterinary Wellness Services Began
I grew up on a small horse farm in Chester County’s rural countryside with animals of nearly every variety. My earliest memories are those spent on the farm with our animals. I was exposed to the veterinary way of life through spending time with my mom in the summers where she worked as a receptionist in a few different veterinary hospitals. My early childhood experiences with the profession sparked my desire and determination to pursue veterinary medicine.
I received my veterinary degree at The University of Glasgow in Scotland, which was my childhood veterinary role model, James Herriott’s, alma mater. I went on to work in both mixed and small animal veterinary practices in England for 5 years treating a variety of large and small animals. I incorporated Acupuncture into my standard veterinary treatments after completing my European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ESVPS) Certificate in Western Acupuncture & Chronic Pain Management – GPCert (WVA&CPM). I’m currently undertaking a Graduate Diploma of Veterinary Western Herbal Medicine through the College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies (CIVT).
